What is MP3 format?
MP3 format is actually an audio encoding format. The complete term for this format is MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3. The MP3 format makes use of what is known as a lossy compression algorithm to produce a reproduction of a particular audio recording. By compressing the data that is needed in representing the original audio recording, what is produced is then a reproduction of the original audio recording.
